Autumn 🍂, Pumpkins 🎃, and New Pages 📝
October 12, 2021

Hello,

I hope you are well! It is now definitively Autumn here in the UK, and I couldn't be happier. Bring on the crisp dry air, changing leaves and cosy baking - both savoury and sweet.

We've been making a lot of soups, stews and warming oven bakes. The wooly jumpers and scarves have come out, and we are hanging onto every minute of daylight until clocks go back at the end of the month!

In the meantime, let's take a look below at what's new on the site.

Pumpkin Season 🎃

Pumpkin season has arrived! You don't have to celebrate Halloween or Thanksgiving to enjoy delicious pumpkin goodies such as these pumpkin squares.

Make your own pumpkin puree when pumpkins are in season, or used tinned pumpkin when time is short - no excuses!

Personally... 📝

It's hard to believe that the boys' half term holidays are only a week and a half away. It feels like the term just started, but judging by how tired everyone is, the break will bring some much needed downtime and give us a chance to recharge.

I think we will keep it low key for Halloween this year, especially as the pandemic continues. Of course we will still carve a pumpkin, eat sweets and bake. And maybe even dress up. What will you be doing for Halloween?

Thank you for reading and for your support. 🙏 I hope you've enjoyed this newsletter.

Until next time! Meanwhile, keep cooking and carry on.
